A first look at the Impreza crossover.
With so many new vehicle launches at this week’s Shanghai Auto Show, it’s easy to miss some of the less flamboyant announcements.
One such vehicle is the Subaru XV Concept, which looks mightily close to a potential production vehicle. Elsewhere in the world the Impreza Outback Sport is known as the Impreza XV so it would be logical to presume this is a sneak peak at the next version. The all-new Impreza will be unveiled tomorrow at the New York auto show so perhaps we’ll then get a better idea of what this XV concept portrays.
The XV concept is certainly less stunning than the Impreza concept sedan that was shown at last year’s Los Angeles Auto Show but nonetheless it is still an attractive crossover.
Subaru has released scant details other than that it is powered by a 2.0-liter engine coupled to a CVT and the exterior dimensions are pretty close to that of the current Impreza XV. It has 19-inch wheels and a full length panorama roof.
